Meet the Surfing Dogs of Britain’s Coastline
Every summer in Dorset, Britain’s coast becomes home to one of the most eccentric festivals you’ll find: the Dog Surfing Championship. What began in 2018 as a quirky beachside idea has grown into a full-scale surf festival, where pets take to the ocean in style. From canine paddleboard races to celebrity-judged surf heats, dogs in sunglasses and Hawaiian shirts ride the waves alongside their humans. With training from expert behaviourists, live commentary on the sand, and returning surfboard champions like Chuck Norris and Bear, this joyful competition is part race, part spectacle, and all heart.
