Why is the sky blue? It's not.
You might know that as sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere, it bumps into air molecules of different sizes…
If the light bumps into a particle that’s much smaller than its own wavelength, it scatters in another direction
And the shorter the wavelength, the more it’ll scatter!
This means the colors with the shortest wavelengths get scattered the most by the molecules in our atmosphere - bouncing around and giving it its color…
