Living in a Shockingly Small 110 ft² Apartment with Clever Self-Built Furniture! – FULL TOUR
Adrian lives in this shockingly tiny 110 ft² apartment in downtown Ottawa, Canada (it was originally advertised at just 95 ft²!). He has lived in this extremely small studio apartment for 4 years and has experimented with different setups to make it functional and comfortable. Right now, he has a self-built home office desk with a custom made DIY spring loaded Murphy bed above it. He also built storage around the shower stall to create a space saving closet area. In his kitchen, he installed a 2-burner induction cooktop into the counter, a bar fridge at eye level for easy access, and he has a wall-mounted rod for hanging pots and pans.
Adrian is a videographer and is starting up his business which is why he chose to live in a tiny affordable space – to keep expenses low and take the pressure off. His rent is $700/month in Canadian Dollars, which includes all utilities and a parking space.

Adrian says he's not a minimalist by choice but rather by necessity due to the small space. He still owns a lot of gear for work and for his hobbies, but he tries to find the balance by making sure everything he owns is useful or meaningful to him. If something new is coming into the apartment, something else has to go to make space for it.
If you have ideas for ways to change or modify Adrian's apartment setup to make it more comfortable or functional, please leave them in the comments!
