Artist Thao Nguyen Phan’s vision of the future ? ? | Tate #art

Thao Nguyen Phan makes poetic, multi-layered artworks which explore the historical and ecological issues facing her homeland Vietnam. She intertwines mythology and folklore with urgent issues around industrialisation, food security and the environment.
?? In 2022 she invited us to her studio and spoke about how her artwork is influenced by architecture, Indigenous knowledge, and ‘the beauty and suffering’ of the Mekong River.
