Since I'm driving through remote areas of the desert in Chile with very few chargers, I've been pushing the limits of my vehicle's range as far as I can. Due to the lack of chargers in this region, I had to do a domestic charge in Taltal, Chile. This was one of the slowest outlets I’ve found so far and even after 10+ hours of charging overnight, it was only able to give me just enough charge to make it to the closest charging station. Since I didn’t want to risk running into any issues driving in the desert at night, I decided to head out earlier in the day rather than waiting another 20+ hours to charge using the outlet.
Although I was experiencing so much range anxiety, the car actually charged itself back up when coasting downhill and I was able to make it to my next destination?
