The Israeli military also says it has begun the first stages of its offensive on Gaza City and claims it has a hold on some of the city’s outskirts. It’s begun calling up 60,000 army reservists, while it has yet to respond to a ceasefire and partial hostage release deal already agreed to by Hamas.
