Gaza peace talks to begin in Egypt

Ceasefire negotiations were due to start this morning in Egypt involving delegations from the United States, Israel and Hamas attempting to reach a deal on Donald Trump's 20-point peace plan for Gaza.

The US President had called for Israel to pause it's military strikes but dozens were killed over the weekend.
The plan involves a phased Israeli troop withdrawal and the release of Palestinian prisoners plus Hamas releasing all remaining hostages and laying down its weapons.
