Radians
In this computer science lessons you will learn about radians. Radians are used extensively in mathematics, science, engineering and computer science to measure angles of rotation. Radians express angles in terms of the fundamental properties of a circle. This makes calculations involving angles much simpler than when using degrees to measure angles. The lesson begins by explaining why circles are normally divided into 360 degrees, rather than some other number of degrees. It then goes on to explain the nature of the radian and how it relates more naturally to the fundamental properties of a circle. Some applications of radians are also mentioned in this lesson.
