Building the Ultimate Work Station. Lot 32, The Abandoned Tiny Home Resurrection Project.
Going into my first home build, even at the small size that it is, having a good work station was high on my priorities. Hours of editing, trip planning, paperwork and expedition prep, are all so much more enjoyable with a good place to work. I hadn't planned on doing much more than just a desk with under storage, but we quickly realized how poor my lighting choice was, the need for a little more electricity at the desk, and. of course a little extra storage for cameras and equipment. We found a really nice live edge board at Windsor Plywood, and I knew right away what I would do with it. It sat at the house for a couple of weeks waiting for the right opportunity to build, and I am so happy it did because it allowed me the extra time to plan the light and electrical.
I love both the "rustic look" and "industrial" so I wanted to incorporate some metal pipe and a metal junction box, and I must say the partnership is just awesome. The live edge board was Walnut, and the rest was just assorted black iron pipe pieces.
