In collaboration with Universal Audio, the Andertones Band heads to Real World Studios near Bath to record their cover of the incredible 'Purple Rain' by Prince.

_"My rig for the Purple Rain track was the same amp & pedal board as I used for the Gravity track, however, I changed the guitar out for a PRS Custom 24 - I have a satin finish one that I've always enjoyed playing as it seems to resonate in a way that the lacquered ones don't. I knew I was mostly playing the clean parts in this track & letting Pete do most of the work. ? The clean sounds are from the Victory Duchess amp with some compression from the Origin Cali 76. The outro solo was all the drive pedals so from memory, it was a Wampler Tumnus into the Tube Screamer into the Thorpy Dane & using the humbucker on the guitar - its a bit over the top, but I think that was what was needed for the song."_

_"This is my trusted, ol' reliable rig. Similar to what I used on Gravity, I had a Cali76 on, to lift the signal from the speaker, along with Cali, The Dane, El Capistan and a bit of Flint. I also used used a Universal Audio UAFX Astra Pedal for that unmistakable modulation that people associate with the first chord of the song - it might be one of the most instantaneously recognisable chords ever!"_
