Ad banned for racial stereotype
A TV ad for Sanex shower gel has been banned for suggesting that white skin is superior to black skin.

Colgate Palmolive, who make Sanex, said they only intended to show a diverse range of users. But, the Advertising Standards Agency said that, as the ad represented black skin as itchy or dry and white skin as smooth, it had included a racial stereotype and was likely to cause serious offence.
