
Zimbabwe abuse victims take legal action against Church of England
The incoming Archbishop of Canterbury Sarah Mullally promised yesterday that listening to the survivors of abuse in the Church of England was one of her top priorities.

Her predecessor was forced to quit over his failures to do enough to stop John Smyth's appalling campaign of abuse. Today, this programme can reveal that men who were abused by Smyth in Zimbabwe are taking legal action against the Church, saying they've been forgotten by the institution, and that a coverup by Church leaders directly led to their suffering.
