Tiny Home With a Japanese Soaker Tub. Lot 32, Big Luxury in A Tiny Little Space.
We have all been waiting for the construction of the "infrastructure" portions of this build, and they are finally here. The shower/bath romm is well under way now, which will be followed by the luxury outhouse build, and finally the kitchen. These things have to happen in a certain order, because some rely on the other for their functionality.
The original plan was to build a complete second building for the bath house, strictly because I couldn't find a way to fit a bath tub in this little building. Of course that brings extra challenges in the winter time here in Canada. Then the plan shifted to a shower stall, but then Emi wouldn't be able to relax in a bath. Luckily, we got a out of the blue message from some very generous folks, who have Japanese ancestry, and happened to have this tub sitting in storage. This was a huge opportunity for us, because we had looked at tubs in Japan, and I just knew one would fit perfectly, and I would love to tackle a tile job.
This is my first time attempting a build like this, so I am sure that the mistakes will be obvious, but even an ugly build will still offer the same functionality of a perfect build, and to me, that is most important. To be honest though, I think the final result of this shower room is going to be awesome, not perfect but awesome.
