In Israel, the Government has condemned Hamas for failing to release the bodies of more hostages.
So far the remains of just seven of the promised 28 captives who died have been returned to Israel. With two more expected to be handed over this evening.
But that has allowed the first families to put loved ones to rest, as our Foreign Affairs Correspondent Paraic O'Brien reports.
