How should government respond to the rise of AI in the workplace? | 7.30

There are very different views across the globe about the right level of regulation for artificial intelligence. Unsurprisingly, the US is arguing for very limited regulation of AI, while the EU is at the other end of the scale.
Here at home, a report by the Productivity Commission released on Wednesday suggests AI could add $116 billion to the economy, but only if regulation is done with a light touch.
AI will be a key topic at the government's productivity roundtable, and Treasurer Jim Chalmers spoke to 7.30's Sarah Ferguson.
