The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas has now come into effect - as Israel said its troops were withdrawing to an internationally agreed position inside the Strip.
Unrestricted humanitarian aid should now be allowed in - while Hamas has 72 hours to release all the remaining hostages.
Before the ceasefire came into effect Palestinians reported heavy airstrikes in several parts of Gaza during the night.
