President Donald Trump thrust the small city of Springfield, Ohio, into the center of the immigration conversation during the 2024 election. Springfield’s migrant population—many of whom are from Haiti and have temporary protected status—will soon be at risk of deportation because of Trump’s move to terminate TPS early.
