New plan to divert children with autism away from NDIS | 7.30

Health Minister Mark Butler announced a major change to the NDIS today in an effort to rein in spending on the disability support program that cost $42 billion last year and is forecast to keep growing.
Children with autism or developmental delays make up 44 per cent of the scheme.
Beginning in mid 2027, many of those children will now be diverted to a new program called Thriving Kids.
