Sydney’s protest restrictions changed | 7.30

A ban on protests in Sydney has been extended but will cover a reduced area over the coming weeks after the police commissioner announced a gradual winding back of the restrictions today.
The move will allow rallies to take place over the Australia Day long weekend, but activists have vowed to push ahead with a challenge to the new laws.
