Boxes of Treasure found Cleaning out the Hoarder Shed, Locked and Forgotten for 25 Years. Lot 32
Progress in the house continues, but with the weather beginning to improve I am jumping on the opportunity to get some work done outside. The flooring and trim are in and looking great, and the house is really starting to come together.
If you have been watching from the beginning, you will remember the horrendous hoarder disaster that was left in the house for decades. I have been blocking out the thought of this side shed, because that same hoarder mess spills over into the shed as well. The issue with the shed disaster, is that it has been somewhat open to the elements over all of these years, and of course the packrats have been all over in there. Taking these factors into consideration, I thought that this project would be a miserable pattern of trips to the dump with disgusting filth, but this was only 80% true. Remarkably, some of these boxes had some valuable items in them, some had very old collectables, and somehow they survived decades in these conditions.
Five large loads to the dump later, and the project is nearly complete, with some serious bonus finds. Vintage Playboys, pottery, outdoor equipment and a coin collection, could possibly pay for the whole build, but ultimately these items deserve to stay here at the lot. Still unsure what to do with all of this stuff, but for now it will stay at the Lot.
