Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche in a Tuesday news conference rejected claims that his predecessor was fired for failing to prosecute President Trump's political enemies.
"Pam Bondi is a trusted friend of President Trump's and will remain so," Blanche told reporters at Department of Justice headquarters in Washington, DC. "Nobody has any idea why the attorney general is no longer the attorney general and I'm the acting attorney general — except for President Trump."
