Classic Car Graveyard. A Government Disposal of Vintage Cars Found on the Banks of the Fraser River.
I have been eyeing up these cars for weeks now, but access to many of them is no easy task. I was told that the government pushed these cars over the bank in the 40s or 50s, to shore up the riverbank from erosion, but I can not confirm or deny. Some of the cars have eroded to nearly nothing, and some are still complete, but being where they are they will most likely sit there and erode for centuries to come. Below the high water line, the mighty Fraser river has taken charge of the clean up task, leaving nothing behind except the heavy thick iron. Further up the bank the cars remain in surprisingly good condition, but the biggest issue with these cars is the amount of ticks on this southern facing bank. All of the neighbours, with their nice green grass yards, rarely ever encounter a tick. Lot 32, being the only parcel of land on the river side of the road, and having been abandoned for decades, has a bit of a tick problem currently. Soon I think I will have to chemically treat the yard, but for now some duct tape will do the trick.
