Here’s a simple fretboard hack that makes memorizing notes way easier. Start by learning the notes on the low E and A strings, since you naturally use them the most. Once you know a note there, you can instantly find the same note an octave up by moving one string over and a whole step higher. That pattern repeats all over the neck. For the D and G strings, the octave shifts up a minor third instead. By finding just one note and using these octave shapes, you start connecting the fretboard fast instead of memorizing everything the hard way.
