Say hello to the new Vauxhall GSE Concept. It’s loaded with familiar GSE cues, including a slim, racing-inspired steering wheel bearing the new GSE logo, and motorsport-influenced alloy wheels with triangular cut-outs referencing icons like the Opel Manta 400 rally car. Inside, a minimalist lightweight driver’s seat and prominent roll cage reinforce the car’s track focus, hinting at serious performance to match its aggressive styling.
Vauxhall says the concept will explore the limits of battery-electric performance. It follows confirmation in July that the production Mokka GSE will become the brand’s first all-electric high-performance model.
Crucially, the concept could form the design and technical basis for the next-generation Vauxhall Corsa which is expected to launch next year. With the Corsa long-established as a key volume model for the brand, it would make sense for Vauxhall to inject its new GSE performance ethos into the Corsa’s future iteration, delivering a sportier take on one of its most important cars.
