New York Times bestselling author Emily Henry expands on her response addressing the casting of the on-screen adaptation of her novel "Beach Read."
Henry said on "Jenna and Sheinelle," "I’m along for the ride with the readers, and we just have to trust the vision." On the Open Book with Jenna podcast, Henry added, "I mean, I don't really want to weigh in, because like I said, it's like, it is our thing ... but it's also this whole other team's thing, and we have to let them work ... I think (director) Yulin (Kuang is) really brilliant, and I think she's going to make something really special." Henry also said that the reader reaction to the casting also shows the power of audiences and their impact on Hollywood.
Filming has begun for "Beach Read," which will star Patrick Schwarzenegger as Gus and Phoebe Dynevor as January.
