PRS Wood Grading Explained from S2 to Private Stock | Interview with Paul Miles at PRS Factory
We visited the Wood Vault inside the PRS Guitars factory in Maryland and talked with Paul Miles, Director of Manufacturing, to break down the full US-made PRS range. From S2 to Private Stock, this video gives you a clear overview of the different PRS tiers and what sets them apart.
We also touch on the creative process — from wood selection and design to the balance between aesthetics and tone, plus insights into unique builds and custom inlays.
This is the first video in a 3-part series. Next up, we’ll look closer at how a Core model and a Private Stock guitar are built. Enjoy the video and leave a comment below!
