Will VP Vance Attend the Rescheduled Correspondents' Dinner?
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday that it won't be possible to host a rescheduled correspondents' dinner at the executive mansion due to the fact that "we don't have a room big enough here" — after President Trump vowed to headline a revived dinner within 30 days of Saturday night's aborted gala.
Leavitt said it was possible that Vice President JD Vance, who also attended the dinner, might sit out the rescheduled event, but stressed that "there were several members of the cabinet in the line of succession who did not attend [Saturday] for various personal reasons. So, designating one survivor was not necessary as we had several members who were not there already."
