Long Island Rep. Laura Gillen recently bragged about $500,000 worth of federal funds that were sent to her district, despite voting against the final passage of the bill.
Last week, the congresswoman touted $250,000 sent to the Floral Park Fire Department to purchase a new firetruck and $250,000 for the Franklin Square Public Library.
“I’m proud to announce that I secured $250,000 in federal funding for the Village of Floral Park to purchase a new fire truck, helping ensure our first responders have the equipment they need to keep Long Island safe,” she said.
