Father Who Went Viral for Carrying Injured Softball Player Daughter Calls It ‘Dad Instincts’

After North Carolina won the Little League Softball World Series, the team’s coach, Ben Catarozzoli, made sure his daughter, who had injured her ankle earlier in the game, didn’t miss the chance to celebrate with her team, touching hearts around the world. They both joined TODAY on Tues., Aug. 11 to talk about this moment: “It’s been cool to see the reaction. It’s just dad instincts, I guess. I would’ve done it for any of the girls on the team,” he says.
