AI is changing graphic design, but not always in the ways people think. Instead of using AI to create finished logos or branding, I wanted to see if it could solve the boring, time-consuming parts of the design process that most designers deal with every day.
In this video, I put Abacus AI through three real-world graphic design tests. First, I uploaded client emails and project briefs to see if AI could identify client psychology, extract key information, and build a clearer project scope. Then I tested its ability to create mockups and presentation materials while preserving a real logo design. Finally, I used it for competitor analysis, audience psychology research, branding insights, and visual identity research to see whether it could genuinely help designers make better decisions.
The results were surprising. Some features were genuinely useful, while others still need work.
