Porcelain and Plants: Decorative Arts and Garden Inspiration
Gardens, and the plants that are carefully cultivated within them, have been a source of continued inspiration for artists working in ceramics, including porcelain and earthenware, throughout history. In this session, draw connections between private and public gardens, botanical illustrations, and refined painting on ceramics, with a particular focus on works made in France at Sèvres and in England at Chelsea factories.
