Secretary of State Marco Rubio met with Pope Leo XIV for a private one-on-one meeting at the Apostolic Palace where discussions included Iran and the growing tensions between the United States and Cuba. His visit comes after months of public sparring between the White House and the pontiff over the administration’s immigration policies and the war in Iran.
