The plan to regulate the AI revolution | 7.30

Ten times the Industrial Revolution at ten times the speed.
One of the biggest minds in the world, Google's Demis Hassabis, says the next level of AI is taking us on a journey so transformative it's akin to mankind's discovery of fire.
In plainer terms, Prime Minister Anthony Albanse told us it's no longer a question of whether AI will transform Australia – “we're past that”, he said, announcing his plan today to harness AI's economic potential while also protecting jobs and the arts.
7.30's political editor Jacob Greber reports on the government’s AI plan, and Sarah Ferguson interviews the prime minister.
Plus Sarah is joined by a panel to discuss the developments: Belinda Dennett is the CEO of Data Centres Australia, and Adam Bandt was the leader of the Greens and is now the CEO of the Australian Conservation Foundation.
