We've been hands-on with Star Wars: Galactic Racer's fast and furious roguelike campaign, and it's looking a game changer for racing games. Across four hours of play we competed across four different planets, crafting our speeder to take on each world's unique challenges and status effects. But while all the buildcraft offered by the campaign's roguelike design is fascinatingly implemented, what really impressed us is how dangerous racing on these sci-fi tracks feels. In a galaxy far, far away, motorsport takes place at vastly higher speeds in much deadlier vehicles across far more dangerous terrain. If it was going to feel exactly right, of course developer Fuse Games had to dial up the fear.
