Debuting in 1966, Cream was rock’s first supergroup. Although the band lasted just over two years, its impact was immeasurable. All three members — guitarist Eric Clapton, bassist Jack Bruce, and drummer Ginger Baker — were virtuoso musicians. But it was Ginger’s incendiary solo on the closing track "Toad" from their first album, ”Fresh Cream,” that made him a legend.
