But somehow, a remake of a 1932 Universal Monster movie classic might have wound up being the most beloved of them all. The Mummy, starring Brendan Fraser and Rachael Weisz as an adventurer and a librarian unwittingly resurrecting an ancient Egyptian priest hell bent on revenge (and love!!!), rode a sandstorm of charisma, camp and old fashioned fun to one of the most loved films from an otherwise incredible decade of movies.
