Should boomers give away their inheritance early?
As the price of everything rises, millennials are looking to their parents for help. Although a majority of parents in America help their children financially in some capacity, there is a contingent of boomers who insist their children pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
Charlotte Cowles, a financial columnist for The Cut, spoke to some of these millennials and their boomer parents about why the kids want the money now and why their parents want to wait. She told Vox’s Today, Explained podcast that the assumptions about money made by both the parents and children are stopping families from having much-needed conversations about finances.
