President Trump said he accepted French President Emmanuel Macron's invitation to dine at the Palace of Versailles Wednesday night because he likes "beautiful places."
"The French president, who happens to be a very nice man, invited me to dinner at Versailles," he told reporters at the G7 summit.
"Versailles is not gold leaf. It’s the real deal," he added.
