Labassa – If these walls could talk | Compass
In a quiet suburb in Melbourne, tucked away in a small cul-de-sac is a house that will take your breath away.
Compass was given rare access to Labassa, the historic mansion in Melbourne, and some of those who once called it home.
From post war Jewish refugees who arrived with nothing but hope, to the bohemian artists, and performers who took over in the 1970s, Labassa has more stories than rooms.
Narrated by Essie Davis, who played glamorous private detective Phryne Fisher in Miss ‘Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries,’ and filmed at Labassa.
Labassa – If these walls could talk tells the history of this iconic place, and the characters who have lived there.
