How to get the NAAASTY synth bass sound for Bjork's 'Army of Me' ?
Ian uses preset 2 of the MXR Bass Synth as the foundation. The original tone traces back to the ARP 2600, so the goal is to get close to that analog grit. He adds a bit of chorus through his HX Stomp and a subtle ducking reverb that only blooms when the notes release, which keeps the line tight while still giving it space.
