Oil Traffic Surges Through Strait of Hormuz Following Iran Deal
On June 24, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said about 20 million barrels of crude oil and roughly 72 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the previous 24 hours, following an initial U.S.-Iran agreement to end the conflict. Speaking at the Reuters Global Energy Forum in New York, Wright said Iran would no longer be able to use threats to close the strategic waterway as leverage.
