Decades Later, 9/11 Families Still Seek Answers on Alleged Saudi Links
9/11 family members gathered outside the Saudi Consulate in New York City on September 8, calling for accountability over Saudi Arabia’s alleged ties to the attacks. At a press conference organized by 9/11 Justice, President Brett Eagleson said families continue to seek answers nearly 25 years later, citing allegations involving Omar al-Bayoumi and evidence he said was uncovered by the FBI. Eagleson said a lawsuit against Saudi Arabia is moving forward, with a court hearing scheduled for October 7 in Manhattan. Saudi Arabia has denied involvement, while other family members urged President Donald Trump to press Saudi officials on the issue.
