Mamdani Reflects On 25 Years Since 9/11, Calls For City “Worthy Of Their Courage” Shown After Attack

On the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Zohran Mamdani called the attacks an “act of terror” and honored the 2,753 people killed at the World Trade Center, as well as those who later died from Ground Zero-related illnesses. He also remembered New Yorkers’ courage and generosity in the aftermath. Mamdani urged New Yorkers to continue caring for one another and build a city worthy of the sacrifices and courage shown that day.
