Police are investigating a political donation of nearly £40,000 made to Robert Jenrick's Conservative party leadership campaign in 2024.

The Met said it had launched a formal investigation into the origins of the donation following allegations that it came from an overseas donor, in breach of electoral rules.
Jenrick, who's now a member of Reform UK, has described the allegations as "entirely false".
