Kyiv's Mother Ukraine Monument was illuminated in the colors of the U.S. flag on Friday to mark the 250th anniversary of American independence. The event was organized as part of the U.S. Embassy's Freedom 250 celebrations.
Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, reaffirmed US-Ukraine relations. "This is the monument to the motherland, the iconic 100-meter, 330-foot monument that today stands proudly on the 4th of July in American colors"
