China's Biggest Rare Earths Processing Challenger Says It Can Match Its Tech
Rare earths are critical to electric vehicles, wind turbines and advanced defense systems — and China has long dominated the supply chain.
Amanda Lacaze, former CEO of Lynas Rare Earths, says the company is “pretty confident” it can match China in one of the industry’s toughest areas: solvent extraction.
Lynas is the largest rare earths processor outside China. Lacaze says its Malaysia plant has built its own intellectual property and technical capability as countries look for supply chains beyond China.
