The operation comes as investigators pursue senior police officials accused of helping escort the shipment, with multiple officers facing charges or under investigation. Officials say the cocaine was recovered during a raid near the capital, Monrovia, as West Africa remains a major transit route for cocaine trafficked from South America to Europe.
