Cyclospora Outbreak: Is the Worst Behind Us?
The CDC's latest update shows that daily cases of cyclosporiasis are trending downward after a monthslong outbreak. The agency confirms more than 15,700 cases of cyclosporiasis since May 1 and says it’s looking into another nearly 12,000 potential cases. While those numbers are higher than last year for a similar time frame, medical professionals are cautiously optimistic. NBC’s Aaron Gilchrist reports for TODAY.
