
Former Welsh first minister: 'Starmer should step down'
In his first interview since Labour’s historic defeat in the Welsh parliamentary election, former First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, said Sir Keir Starmer should step down.

In the exclusive interview with Channel 4 News Wales Correspondent, Andy Davies, the former leader of Welsh Labour also said he’s backing Andy Burnham to be the next Labour leader and Prime Minister.
When asked if the Prime Minister should step down Drakeford said: “Yes, I think he should, but I think he should do it in a planned way, in a dignified way in a way that allows for a smooth transition.
