Police say they have identified three women who drowned off the Brighton coast, and that their loved ones have been informed.
Police were called to the seafront, to the east of Brighton Palace Pier, in the early hours of yesterday morning. The leader of Brighton & Hove council described the deaths as 'the most devastating news' that the city had received 'for a very long time'.
